Marx, Fascism and You

Obama said, “I just want to spread the wealth around.” That is almost a direct quote from the writings of Karl Marx – who, by the way, was in no way related to Groucho. I never thought I’d live to see the day when Americans were going to have to study Marx and Lenin to understand how our government works. But with Obama, Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Dodd, Frank, Schumer and all their gang in office, we’d better go get our copies and start reading. Socialism (or more correctly Fascism) is on the way.

How is this going to happen? The major media is acting for Obama as did Goebbels for Hitler and Pravda for Stalin. They promote their leaders’ ideology and tolerate no opposition. The imminent reenactment of the Fairness Doctrine will be the next step toward government control of the press (media). The government is already buying into private companies by force (an overtly Fascist act). Socialized medicine and the banning of private ownership of weapons (Hitler did this in 1935) are clearly on the horizon.

And speaking of Fascism, currently there is a lot of talk about whether our country is going socialist. I would like to suggest people are using the wrong term. What we are really talking about here is Fascism.

Socialism is chiefly characterized by State control of the means of production and distribution of goods. Fascism is a system of government marked by the centralization of authority under (1) a dictator or oligarchy, (2) stringent socioeconomic controls, (3) suppression of the opposition through censorship, and (4) a policy of racism. The name Fascism or Fascist is derived from the Italian fascio, “bundle, a (political) group,” but it also refers to (5) the movement's emblem, the fasces, a bundle of rods bound around a projecting axe-head that was carried before an ancient Roman magistrate by an attendant as a symbol of authority and power.

Now, look at our country. (1) With Obama, we will have an oligarchy running our country (total Democrat control of the government). (2) We are putting, and will continue putting, stringent socioeconomic controls on our society (the banking and finance industries). (3) We already have de facto censorship on the opposition by the media (the media self-censors the opposition). (4) We already have a de facto policy of racism (try bringing up anything racial and see what happens). (5) And, ironically if you look at the wall behind the podium in the US House of Representatives, you will see two (2) fasces (the emblem of fascism), one on either side of the speaker’s platform.

If Obama gets in there, looks to me like we’re well on our way to a Fascist society. Ask yourself, Are all those things that Obama has been telling you the truth or lies? As Lord Byron said, “And, after all, what is a lie? ‘Tis but the truth in masquerade . . .”

"If Obama gets in there"? The roots of this crisis were in place long before Obama was more than a nobody on the nation scene. You list all these old-school economists who warned of this 50, 60, 90 years ago, but then you want to act like it's all Obama's idea? I am skeptical of Obama's chances of fixing this mess, but it's not a mess of his making. The monetary/financial system is flawed by design. What you are seeing is the inevitable result of a failed economic policy going back 37 years or more.
